So I had way too much fun creating an interactive slideshow for my first book talk. There are endless tools and formats out there to help create and deliver an effective book talk. PowToon is the website I used to create mine, since it has free and subscription membership options. I started off with the free version for now, and I think it totally rocks! PowToon offers pre-made editable movies, presentations, and slideshows as well as an option to start from scratch and build your own.
I LOVE talking books. I love hearing about books. Book talks are easy for me.
Talking about books is not easy for a LOT of students. It isn't natural for them. So we are going to guide them through the process. Front load ideas, expectations, formats, or any other useful strategy/tools to help them succeed.
Please take a look at my slideshow on the book Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver and let me know what you think :)
